IEEE International Conference on Advanced Networks and Telecommunications Systems
18-21 December 2022 // Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India

Sixth International Workshop on 5G and Future Wireless Technology (5GFWT 2021)

Abstract

5G wireless is one of the most important research areas at present. International telecommunication union (ITU) is under standardization process of international mobile telecommunication (IMT-2020) 5G standard which is expected towards this year end. While, 5G research is still considered an early stage activity, the next generation, 6G activity has already started. Several working groups all over the world are investigating various aspects of 5G/6G wireless/cellular systems. To create a synergy and to enable the distribution of latest research, it is important to arrange detail and focused session in these areas. Furthermore, most of the important conferences cohost such dedicated and focused session/workshop. IEEE ANTS is an important annual event in India and therefore, it is an imperative to organize such value added session/workshop. The proposed full day workshop is focused on latest development and future scope. This will provide a forum for researchers. The one day workshop would cover a broad range of spectrum of 5G/6G investigation and some highlights of future wireless communication. The proposed workshop on 5G wireless/cellular and future wireless communication and technology is in the scope of ANTS.

Timeline and Intended Audience

The proposed workshop is being planned for full day. The workshop will make call for paper as well as few invited/key note speakers. The keynote speakers would be expert from industry such as Samsung, Ericsson, Nokia, Qualcomm, etc. If time permits, there would be possibility of panel discussion demo session on 5G testbed or development. The audience is expected to be working professional, PhD scholars and even master students. In India also, lot of people and research groups have been working and researching in this area. It is expected that it will not only draw these crowds but also many interested professionals from the industry. Based on the popularity and quality of the previous workshop, it is expected that the workshop will attract more audience and quality papers.
