Abstract

Over 100 of 5G networks are offering services around the globe and, the number is increasing every day. However, many services/applications are currently not supported by 5G networks. But the network design has been so flexible that software and or hardware can be updated when ever found to be necessary. That is, as 5G technology matures, more and more use cases could be realized. At the same times, it is also being observed that many of the use cases may not be realized using 5G network. Hence, research has already started towards next generation, that is, 6G communication systems. Many workshops, symposiums are organized across the globe and various aspects of it being discussed. Our aim is to provide such a forum where scientists and professionals from industry and academia come together and deliberate on current ongoing challenges and what are expected technologies in the future. IEEE ANTS is an important annual event in India and therefore, it is an imperative to organize such value added session/workshop. The proposed full day workshop is   focused on latest development and future scope. The one day workshop would cover a broad range of spectrum of 5G/6G investigation and some highlights of future wireless communication.

Objectives

The workshop is mostly focused to technology, use cases, demonstration related to 5G and beyond. It will provide a platform to researchers, service/network provider to gather together and discuss related issues, challenges and solutions.

Format and schedule

The workshop is being planned for full day. It will have invited/key note speakers talk, demonstration, panel discussion and paper presentation. Normally, invited talks are arranged from experts groups from Qualcomm, Samsung, Cisco, Ericsson and so on. The panellist would also consist operators, users, providers, and experts from academia and industry.

A tentative proposed schedule being planned is given below.
